Lowest council tax increase for 14 years
This year Kingston's council tax increased by 3.89%.
This is the first time in Kingston's history that council tax has risen below the rate of inflation.

In 1999, under the last Conservative administration, council tax rose by 8.4 times the rate of inflation, a record.
2008 is also the first time that the state pension has risen faster than council tax.
