Responsibilities

Opposition spokesperson for Resident Services

Election statement 2014

I have lived in Surbiton for twenty-three years and have run my business from here since 2006. I know the borough well from my local voluntary work and from cycling the length and breadth of it.

My professional background was in financial services as a project manager and consultant on strategic business change projects. My business now specialises in developing senior executives’ communication skills.

I am a founder member and treasurer of Transition Town Kingston, which for the last six years has worked locally to foster community involvement in creating an environmentally friendly borough: encouraging local food growing, energy saving measures, local energy generation and sustainable travel choices.

As chair of Kingston Environment Forum I represent local environmental groups within RBK’s ‘Kingston Strategic Partnership’ structure. I also represent Kingston Cycling Campaign on the Council’s public transport and traffic management liaison forum.

I volunteer at Surbiton’s community theatre, the cornerHOUSE, and have also been known to tread the boards.

I look forward to being an advocate for Surbiton Hill residents and helping to build on the many improvements my colleagues have made to the local area.
