Your local Lib Dem councillors recently consulted on introducing a 20 mph speed limit throughout Surbiton and a majority of residents supported the proposals. Unfortunately the Conservative-controlled Kingston Council, backed by the two Labour councillors, rejected the results of the consultation.

Residents say that speeding cars in Lovelace Road and Gardens make it dangerous for people walking and cycling in the area, particularly children and older residents, and hazardous for cars pulling out of private driveways and Corkran Road.
