Responsibilities

Chair of Surbiton Neighbourhood

Election statement 2014

Born and brought up in Hounslow, I moved to Surbiton in 1985. I was elected to represent Surbiton Hill ward in May 2010 and have been chair of Surbiton Neighbourhood since May 2012. I take a keen interest in planning issues and am a member of the Development Control committee. I am a founding governor of Lime Tree Primary school and am pleased that the school has been and continues to be so successful.

I am married with two children who both attended The Hollyfield School. I run my own business fitting bathrooms and kitchens but spends most of my time now as a councillor. That leaves little spare time but I do still continue to learn Latin American and ballroom dancing.

I say to people that Surbiton is the best place to live and really mean it. The vitality of Surbiton continues to grow with lots going on all year round. The success of the Surbiton Christmas event last year was just one example. I look forward to the future challenges that being a councillor brings and supporting local residents, businesses and Surbiton community events.
