Responsibilities

Opposition spokesperson for Children's Social Care and Health

Election statement 2014

I have lived in Hook for nineteen years and in Kingston for ten years before that, so I have a good knowledge of the local area.

Over the past four years I have been the Chair of the Health Overview Panel and for the past year, Lead Member for Children’s Health and Wellbeing.

I have been involved in health and education in Kingston for a long time, as I have been a Governor in four different schools over the past twenty-two years and still serve on two governing bodies. My three children all attended local schools.

My professional background is in nursing sick children, and I worked with families and children in schools and the community for many years. I also trained as an advocate for young people. I am a member of the Parochial Church Council at St Paul’s Hook and involved with a number of local bodies.

I look forward to being able to continue working hard to represent everyone who lives in Chessington North and Hook, and to build on the many improvements my colleagues and I have made to the local area.
