Reducing Brexit's impact on Kingston

Whether we prefer “Exit from Brexit” or soft Brexit inside the Single Market, Brexit's outcome directly affects the running of North Kingston's public services, most notably the many EU doctors and nurses working in Kingston Hospital. Likewise, EU nationals work in many of our local businesses like the Sitel call centre in Canbury Business Park (saved by local Lib Dem campaigners from planned demolition by the Tory-led council for luxury residential redevelopment). These are just two of many examples of how damaging a Tory hard Brexit could be in Kingston.

Local campaigner Caroline Kerr said, “Hard Brexit is NOT a done deal and will only be decided in 2019. We know the Tories can't be trusted and Labour is sitting on the fence. This ward is a key marginal between Lib Dems and Tories. Voting Lib Dem here sends a powerful message to Westminster that hard Brexit is the wrong way to go.
