Having lived and worked in Kingston for a number of years, I find it a relaxing and beautiful to spend time. I want to be a councillor to help be a part of keeping Kingston such a nice place to be, and make sure that is as welcoming as it can people for the people that visit. I enjoy speaking to people, whatever they have got to say, and am genuinely interested to work with our residents to make improvements to Kingston.

I grew up in an army family, which meant I was very lucky in having lived in a number of different places in the world, including Cyprus and the Middle East. Whilst the weather was generally better than it is here, I learnt an awful lot about living and learning with all sorts of different people, and I love discovering other people’s backgrounds in life.

I have an allotment in Kingston, which apart from giving me more potatoes than I know what to do with gives me the opportunity to enjoy being outside chatting to my fellow plot holders and learning all the time about how to grow food. Nothing tastes better than your own veg!
