Further details of how to access the Council's Free School Meals scheme this half-term have been published by Kingston Council's partner, Achieving for Children.

Under the scheme, to be eligible, your child must be:

  • School age (5 to 18)
  • Eligible for free school meals
  • Resident in Kingston

Kingston Council will accept referrals via an allocated professional for a child such as a family support worker or social worker. Those who do not have an allocated professional can self refer via the Kingston Stronger Together Hub.

More information can be found on the Kingston Council website by clicking here.

The decision for Lib Dem-run Kingston Council to step in and provide Free School Meals to children who need them over the half-term, helping to reduce holiday hunger, came after the Conservatives in Government refused to do so. You can read more about this by clicking here.
