Accessible stations for all

Lib Dems are campaigning for better, safer access to our train stations

Your local Lib Dem Focus teams are working with South Western Railway, Network Rail and other local organisations on plans for new accessible entrances and exits to stations across the Borough.

These include Chessington South and Surbiton, where local Lib Dems are also campaigning for a new staircase to ease platform safety concerns.

Councillor Tricia Bamford, who has long campaigned for a new accessible entrance at Chessington South, said, “Creating a new entrance for Chessington South would vastly improve the accessibility to the station for the elderly, disabled and those with small children who often struggle with the stairs down to the platform.”

“Across the borough, local Lib Dems are listening to your concerns and acting on them. With Labour out of the race, Lib Dems are the only alternative to the Conservatives here in Chessington and across Kingston.”
