Celebrating International Women’s Day in Kingston

Come join the Liberal Democrats in the celebration of International Women’s Day, where you can meet some of the most inspirational women within the Party and beyond.

International Women’s Day is more than recognising the rights that women have fought for and earned. It is about balancing the world, mending the gender pay gap, addressing the gap in leadership opportunities, and acknowledging the unpaid care work women do.

Come join the Liberal Democrats in the celebration of International Women’s Day, where you can meet some of the most inspirational women within the party and beyond. Take part in the interactive workshops and lean how to get other women involved!

Councillor Liz Green, Leader of Kingston Council, said: “We have some great events planned to mark the day, and I would encourage everyone to join in the celebrations. Women have an important part to play in today's society.”

“I am proud that Kingston Council has a female majority, one of only a handful of councils, and where the majority of leadership positions are held by female Councillors.”
