The final part of defending the planning appeal against the unsuitable development of the filter beds on the Portsmouth Road took place this week. It was a misty morning, but Lib Dem Councillor for St Mark’s Ward Yogan Yoganathan along with the Friends of Seething Wells, went on site to see exactly what will be destroyed if planning permission is given.

The planning inquiry heard evidence for a week at the end of November with both Kingston Council and the Friends of Seething Wells defending the Councillors decision to refuse permission for 64 floating homes, 94 berth marina, restaurant, car parks, river moorings with small nature reserve.

You can read back over our objections to the proposed development on this website and see full details of what they wanted to do.

We will not know the outcome of the appeal until at least late January.
