Retaining visitor scratchcards

Under your new Liberal Democrat council, visitor paper parking permits are here to stay.

It was just over a year ago that the former Conservative administration running Kingston Council decided to scrap visitor scratchcards without consultation.

A petition was set up against this decision, which many people in the borough signed, and this forced a u-turn from the then Tory-run Council.

Under your new Liberal Democrat Council, visitor paper parking permits are here to stay.

Norbiton Ward Councillor Dave Ryder-Mills, Portfolio Holder for Contracts Management, said “My Liberal Democrat colleagues and I believe it is important that, despite the majority of people opting for the cheaper and quicker method of on line payment, we retain a paper option for those who do not wish or have the ability to use on line technology.”

“We are here to serve all our residents.”
